People have chosen MNM as alternative to AIADMK, DMK: Kamal (video)

Chennai: Welcoming the launch of News Today TV and Maalaisudar TV channels by the News Today media group, actor-politician Kamal Haasan declared in an exclusive interview to these two channels that people want a change from the AIADMK and DMK and “they have chosen us, the Makkal Needhi Maiam as the alternative to these parties”.

People hope that the MNM would help provide them the government that they want both at the Centre and in the State, he added.

Asked how his party would take on the AIADMK and DMK simultaneously and whether it could be an alternative to these two parties, Kamal Haasan said the people wanted a change. “Absolutely. People believe that we can provide an alternative to these parties. People have made us believe that we can provide the alternative!”

On whether the third front could form the government at the Centre and the State, Kamal Haasan said at the national level, there should be a coming together of like-minded parties.

Asked about follow-up on his meetings with TMC leaders Mamata Banerjee and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, Kamal Haasan said things could happen and “coagulate”.

The strengthening of the third front was bound to happen as it was the need of the hour.

Kamal Haasan extended his greetings to the News Today media group for launching the News Today TV channel and the Maalai Sudar TV channel on 20 March.

Several candidates of the MNM from different parts of the State and Puducherry  granted exclusive interviews on 20 March on what they intended to do for their respective constituencies.
