After the demise of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, more than six biopics of her have been announced in Tamil cinema.
A L Vijay is directing one film with Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and Mysskin’s assistant director Priyadarshini is making a film with Nithya Menen playing Jayalalithaa. While the former is named Thalaivi, the latter is called The Iron Lady.
Now, a new biopic has been announced, which is titled Sasilalitha. K Jagadeeswara Reddy is all set to direct the film. The film will be made in two parts, and will tell the story of Jayalalithaa and her aide Sasikala, who is currently behind bars. Jagadeeswara Rao had earlier announced a biopic on N T Rama Rao and his wife Lakshmi Parvati.
