Akshara Reddy crowned Miss Super Globe India 2019

Akshara Reddy can add another feather to her cap. The city’s very own beauty queen was recently crowned ‘Miss Super Globe India 2019’, presented by Fashion Runway, during a recently-held international beauty pageant contest – Miss Super Globe India 2019 – at Taj Gateway in Kerala.

Akshara now gets to represent India at ‘Miss Super Globe World 2019’ to be held in Dubai where more than 45 countries will take part including England, Germany, United States, Russia, among others.

GLOWING PROFILE

Akshara received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Tibilisi (Georgia). After completing her education, she took part in numerous beauty contests and has participated in over 150+ ramp walks.

She contested in the Miss South India and won the title. Akshara was honoured as jury in Miss Andhra Pradesh 2016, Miss Navy Queen and for India Miss South.

She has also appeared on TV shows like ‘Villa to Village’ on Vijay TV and has acted in more than 60 advertisements like Kumaran Silks, Univercel, Sowbaghya Wet Grinder and for other well-known brands. She has even acted in short films, album songs and movies like Kaasu Mela Kaasu, Paadam, Vandi and in a Kannada film, Bill Gates.

GRAND GALA

Miss Super Globe India 2019 saw the participation of 13 contestants from different parts of India like Delhi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Bengaluru, Kochin, Chennai and more. All contestants underwent pageant training from international beauty pageant coach, Pooja Bimrah. The contest saw the participation of prominent personalities from the fashion and style industry as judges, including CEO of Elite Models Flat and pageant expert Sameer Khan, fashion designer and celebrity stylist Arun Nair and actress Abhirami and Archana Ravi.

TOUGH FINALÉ

The talent round was held 28 April where all the contestants had to showcase their skills in four minutes. The final round, split into three sub-rounds, was held 29 April.

Here, the contestants took part in different tasks such as traditional wear, question-and-answer sessions and ‘pen downing question’ where the top six contestants were asked a question and had to write their answers within a minute.

In the end, Akshara came out with flying colours and was crowned the ‘Miss Super Globe India 2019’.
