Chennai: ‘Murungakkai Chips’ starring Shanthanu in the lead and directed by Srijar saw its audio released in a Grand manner. It is produced by Raveendar Chandrasekaran for Libra Productions. Athulya Ravi is the heroine.
Billed as a romantic comedy, ‘Murungakkai Chips’ also features a brigade of well-known Tamil actors including Urvashi, Manobala, Yogi Babu, Munishkanth, Mayilsamy, and director K Bhagyaraj. The film has music by Dharan Kumar.
Speaking at the event, Shanthanu said, ‘I thank Raveendar. We are friends in Facebook for long. He kept great faith in me and ensured the project is fully completed’.
Shanthanu added, ‘Gratitude to Yogi Babu, who immediately accepted to act in the movie. Srijar ‘s story is filled with laughter all through. Athulya has done well and she has a bright future in Tamil cinema’.
On his part, Yogi Babu, said, ‘Years ago when I was running for offers, Bhagiyaraj gave me a small role in Sindhu Plus Two. I owe a lot to him. I will act if Shanthanu calls me anytime’.
Mirchi Shiva, Mayilsamy, Madhumitha, Raveendran Chandrasekhar, Srijar, Dhananjaya, Gnanavelraja, Chitra Lakshmanan, choreographer Shobi also spoke on the occasion.
