The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has collected ₹12.25 lakh in fines from builders and developers during a single-day enforcement drive conducted across 12 zones for violations of construction safety and civic regulations.
The crackdown targeted construction sites that failed to comply with norms related to dust pollution control, waste management and overall site safety.
