Mamata condemns Modi’s remarks

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee spoke out against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent comments, expressing concern over the divisive rhetoric used during election campaigns. Banerjee’s remarks come in response to PM Modi’s controversial statements made in Rajasthan, targeting the Muslim community. Addressing the media on Tuesday, Banerjee criticized the BJP for resorting to dangerous statements out of anxiety over their electoral performance. Refraining from repeating PM Modi’s comments, Banerjee emphasized her disappointment with the divisive language used by both the Prime Minister and the Home Minister. She warned that such rhetoric would have consequences, urging leaders to uphold humanity instead of sowing seeds of division. Shre highlighted the need to focus on real issues affecting the people, such as access to food, clothing, and shelter. She criticized the BJP’s approach of spending significant amounts on advertisements and emphasized that leadership cannot be achieved through divisive tactics. Banerjee cautioned against the erosion of constitutional values and voiced concerns over the distortion of history and geography. @@@
