Court grants two-day custody of Savukku Shankar


The special court for NDPS Act cases in Madurai granted the police two-day custody of YouTuber Savukku Shankar, who was arrested on May 4 for possessing ganja. Shankar, along with two associates, was booked by Palanichettipatti police in Theni district. Initially, the police requested a seven-day custody, but the court allowed only two days. Shankar’s bail plea hearing is scheduled for May 23. Amidst heavy security, Shankar was transferred between Coimbatore and Madurai during the judicial process, facing multiple cases across Tamil Nadu.
