Chennai: It is performing time for the navratna defence public sector undertaking Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
The company achieved a net turnover of Rs 2,077.84 crore during the first quarter of financial year 2018-19, registering a growth of 23 per cent over the net turnover of Rs 1,694.55 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
According to a release, Profit Before Tax (PBT) during the first quarter of the financial year 2018-19 stood at Rs 250.21 crore registering a growth of about 40 per cent over the PBT of Rs 179.27 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Profit After Tax (PAT) during the first quarter of FY 2018-19 stood at Rs 179.73 crore recording a growth of 43 per cent over the PAT of Rs 125.32 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year. The order book position of the company as on 1 July this year stood at Rs 41,645 crore.
