Hyderabad: Ruling TRS MP D Srinivas’ son Sanjay has been booked on charges of sexual harassment following a complaint from a woman student of a nursing college in Nizamabad, for which he is the Correspondent.
The complaint was made by a student today, and the case has been registered under different sections of the Indian Penal Code, police said.
Sanjay said in Nizamabad that he felt that the charges against him had been levelled “with an ill motive to hurt his family politically.”
Srinivas, who had served as president of Congress’ state unit and also as minister in undivided Andhra Pradesh, had joined the ruling TRS after the formation of Telangana. He has since become a member of the Rajya Sabha, while his other son is a BJP leader.
