Chennai: To spread awareness among parents and students, Margdarshak, an initiative by Careerlinked Education Council, will conduct a free-of-cost online career awareness programme (CAP) quiz contest for school students.
A press release said students can win a scholarship of up to Rs 2,000 per month or a coupon discount of up to Rs 500.
Margdarshak Chennai franchise director Srinivasan Siva Rao said the current generation is stressed-out due to various compulsions that have led to increased heart attacks in the younger generation.
“In most cases, the underlying reason is dissatisfaction with their job and inadequate earnings. Margdarshak is set out in creating a new generation that doesn’t get stressed out due to wrong career choices. This is possible when newer generation adopts smart career choices, whereby they thrive in pressure situations without getting stressed out,” the release added.
Margdarshak, established under Section 8 of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, has developed authentic and effective career assessment and guidance tools, pedagogical study organiser tools, and learning management systems for school students.
This career guidance tool is helpful for school students studying from classes 9 to 12 to have a stress-free life in the future, the release added.
