Noted filmmaker Vijay, who made movies like ‘Poi Solla Porom’, ‘Thandavam’, ‘Madaraspattinam’, ‘Thalaivaa’ among others, will be directing the biopic of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who passed away last year.
The movie will be bankrolled by Vibri Media. The mega movie would be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously.
Remember Jayalalithaa started her career as actress and later took to politics. After MGR’s demise, she led AIADMK and served as chief minister of Tamilnadu for five times.
She passed away after prolonged illness in December 2016. Close on the heels of the release of his next venture ‘Lakshmi’ starring Prabhudeva, Vijay is expected to begin shoot for the bio-pic. Cast and crew of the movie would be announced soon.
