Chennai: The Tamilnadu government has declared a public holiday tomorrow as a mark of respect to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who passed away this evening in Delhi.
The Tamilnadu government, according to a release, has said it would observe a seven-day mourning for Vajpayee’s passing away.
This, in effect, means that all schools, colleges and government offices would remain shut tomorrow.
EXAMS POSTPONED
Anna University examinations that were scheduled for tomorrow, have been postponed and will be held 7 September.
STALIN LEAVES FOR DELHI
DMK working president M K Stalin has left for New Delhi to pay his homage in person to Vajpayee.
