Chennai: A man broke into a house at Choolaimedu and decamped with an expensive laptop and cash in the wee hours of today.
According to the police, the complainant Vignesh Radhakrishnan (25), a resident of Krishnapuram Street at Choolaimedu alleged that someone entered his house and walked away with his Apple laptop worth Rs 2.25 lakh and Rs 4,000 cash.
The police said the robbery took place between 1.30 am and 3.30 am and they are examining the CCTV footage from a neighbouring building.
Police are also investigating how the robber gained access to the house as the complainant does not remember if he locked the front door or not.
