Chennai: Reading short stories has now been made easy, thanks to M Books, an initiative of Mystics Writer, a forum founded by three like-minded people through a mobile app which was launched in the city recently.

Speaking about this at a meeting held in Kuvikkam Illam, Thanikachalam Road, T Nagar, N Madhavan, one of the founders said, ‘‘Through this app, readers can choose to read short stories from the collection of 300 odd ones written by both seasoned and young writers. We have also uploaded a short profile of several Tamil novelists through which the readers can choose the ones of their choice. We also encourage newcomers in our app’’.

Why do they focus only on short stories?
‘We observed that many who are interested in reading, prefer to have it precise and crisp.

But they have little time in searching for books, which prompted us to launch this app. They can read the story of their choice anywhere’, he stated.

The app also has a provision titled ‘Other areas’, where the reader can access a collection of spiritual books.
‘

Over a period of time, we plan to introduce many more literary collections’, he added.
