Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today inaugurated the state-of-the-art MGR centenary film studio at Payanoor.
As part of the centenary celebrations of actor and former Chief Minister M G Ramachandran, the studio was constructed by Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) at a cost of Rs five crore. The studio has come up on the land provided by the State government to FEFSI employees.
Besides the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister O Pannerselvam, State Ministers, FEFSI president RT K Selvamani, Producers Council chief Vishal, Nadigar Sangam president Nazar, actors Karthi, Sivakarthikeyan, producers Kalaipuli S Thanu, D Siva, Kathiresan, filmmaker Bharathiraja among others took part.
