Chennai: ‘60 Vayadhu Maaninram’ is the emotional journey of a youngster, says director Radha Mohan.
Talking about the project, Radha Mohan says, “Thanu brought this project and when I saw the original, I wanted to do it. I didn’t worry about the fact that I’d be doing two remakes in succession. It wasn’t planned that way and it’s sheer coincidence that both these films are remakes.”
The film’s dialogues have been written by Viji while the story is by Hemanth Rao based on the film Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu.
60 Vayadhu Maaniram stars Vikram Prabhu in the lead role with Indhuja as the female lead. Versatile actors Prakash Raj and Samuthirakani play pivotal roles in the film.
Maestro Ilayaraja is the music composer for 60 Vayadhu Maaniram while Vivek Anand cranked the camera and T S Jai handled the editing. It is bankrolled by ace producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu under his banner V Creations.
The Kannada version of this film, which released in 2016, marked the debut of Hemanth Rao.
