Chennai: Actor Rajinikanth’s sister-in-law Kalavathi (72) passed away on Sunday at around 11 pm.
She was the wife of Rajini’s elder brother Sathyanarayana Rao Gaekwad who was supporting the veteran film star financially when he was an aspiring actor.
Rajinikanth even in a recent public meet praised his brother and sister-in-law stating that they have never asked for any help and Kalavathi has only visited his Chennai house a few times.
Following the news, Rajinikanth, who is currently shooting for his 165th flick directed by Karthik Subbaraj left the sets after the recent schedule of the movie was wrapped up at Binny Mills in Chennai.
It is said that the crew is all set to go to Ladakh for the final schedule of the shoot where the lead actor will join them after the final rites and customs are done for his sister-in-law.
