After a long journey of 105 days in Bigg Boss 2 Tamil house, contestant Rithvika, garnering over one crore of votes, emerged successful. The grand finale episode aired this weekend saw twists and turns, hard discussions, emotional talk and a predicted victory.

The four finalists of this season were – Janani, Vijayalakshmi, Aishwarya and Rithvika. Among them Janani was evicted first followed by Vijayalakshmi. In the end, in a competition between Aishwarya and Rithvika, the winner was announced, officially.

Actor Vijay Devarakonda took part in the 4-hour-long final episode for promoting his upcoming movie, NOTA. Followed by this, in a different eviction process, Janani was taken out from the house first. This was a shocking result for the audience and contestants themselves as they expected either Vijayalakshmi or Aishwarya to be evicted first.

Then came last season’s winner Arav, to take Vijayalakshmi from the house. After this, following the tradition of Bigg Boss reality show, actor and host of the show, Kamal Hassan entered the house and had a casual chat with the remaining two contestants. He also prepared coffee for the contestants to calm their jangling nerves.

In the final stage, he said, “The one whose hand I raise will be the winner.” The actor at first raised Aishwarya’s hand to half the distance, kissed her and then immediately raised Rithvika’s hand.

Soon after the announcement, Rithvika burst into tears and hugged Kamal Haasan with joy. As fellow contestants, everyone was happy to see her win. She was presented the Bigg Boss trophy (which had the ‘eye’ on top of a stand) and the price amount of Rs 50 lakh.

Amidst all this, there was talk of Bigg Boss season 3 and when asked if he would host the next season’s show, Kamal said if time permits, he would.
