Chennai: Tamilnadu Milk Vendors Association has said the Tamilnadu Chief Minister’s Cell has accepted its petition to arrest Christian evangelist Mohan C Lazarus.
They added that the officials have sent one copy to the Police Commissioner and the other to the CM’s desk for perusal.
The issue started when Mohan C Lazarus, in one of his public meeting speeches recently, said Hindu temples are acting as the houses of satan.
He explained that Tamilnadu tops the country in having these temples, especially in Kumbakonam, where the number is quite high.

Following this, the Tamilnadu Milk Vendors Association approached the Greater Chennai Police Commissioner to arrest the evangelist.
But, when their plea was not paid heed to, they submitted a petition to the CM’s Cell which has now been accepted.
Tamilnadu Milk Vendors Association president Ponnusamy, treasurer Pon Mariyappan, secretary Venkatesaperumal and Tamilnadu Vendors Association office-bearer Krishnamurthy were present while handing over the petition.
