Winners of the seventh edition of the IRIS Face of Chennai event.

Chennai: The seventh edition of IRIS Face of Chennai presented by Naturals and FIDA-the design school was held recently in which Leavander emerged as Mr Face and Shruthy was adjudged as Miss Face of Chennai.

The chief guest for the day was actor Ganesh Venkatram and actress Parvathy Nair.

A press release said the event is an annual hunt for the most photogenic faces. “The Grand Finale of IRIS Face of Chennai held at GRT Convention Center was the culmination of months of lead up involving the selection of finalists through several stages of elimination. The first level of competition was held across Tamilnadu in August and September, where over 5,000 aspirants were auditioned,” the release added.

It further said, “215 were shortlisted for the quarter finals which were held on 22nd September in Ispahani Center Nungambakkam. Out of these, 85 were selected for the semi-finals for which the grooming services were provided by Naturals. Participation of 40 finalists chosen from various cities including Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Salem and Kanyakumari. The finalists were put through the paces with intensive training in the form of workshops on styling, grooming, and fashion choreography.”

The show was directed and choreographed by Mr. Sanjay Kumar Asrani. There were subrounds like Talent, Fitness, Styling, Nail art etc.
