Chennai: A two-and-a-half-year-old child, being treated for dengue in the Children’s Hospital in Egmore, died this morning.
Shafi, son of Sadiq Basha, living in Sathyvanimuthu Nagar in Ennore, was admitted to the hospital five days ago with fever. Though he was provided treatment at the hospital, he died this morning.
This is the third death in Chennai, according to reports, after twins Dhakshan and Deeksha succumbed to complications arising out of dengue fever in the Institute of Child Health and Children’s Hospital in Egmore Monday.
