Chennai: The parentage issue continues to dog actor Dhanush. Kathiresan of Melur, in Madurai district, had filed a case in the Melur court claiming that Dhanush was his long lost son and that he should pay him monthly maintenance.
When the court rejected his case, he appealed in the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court, alleging that the actor had filed false documents about his birth and education.
The case was again thrown out 23 March by the court as non-maintainable. But, Kathiresan filed another plea in court stating that a criminal case should be registered against Dhanush for falsifying the documents. He prayed for the court to direct the Ko Pudur police and Madurai police commissioner to act on his complaint and register a case.
The court then directed Kathiresan to approach an appropriate junior court to take up his case. Following this, the man filed a plea in the judicial magistrate 6 court in Madurai. In the plea, he alleged that as Dhanush had filed fake documents in the High Court, he had given a complaint to the Ko Pudur and Madurai police commissioner to register a criminal case against the actor. As the police failed to register a case, he prayed to the court to direct them to initiate action against Dhanush.
The case has been listed for 9 November.
