Chennai: Actor simbu is currently shooting for the Tamil remake of hit Telugu film Attarintiki Daredi. It is directed by Sundar C. He will begin his next for Venkat Prabhu’s Maanadu, which is touted to be a political thriller.

Meanwhile reports say that Simbu recently announced that he is joining hands hands with Gautham Vasudev Menon again. Sources deny that it is not a sequel for Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya but a new project. There were also reports that the film will begin by the end of this year and A R Rahman has been roped in to compose music for the same.

Simbu will be playing a dual role in the film, and he has already began working on the looks for both the characters. It is a commercial entertainer. Other casts and crew are yet to be finalised.
