Chennai: A plastic ban is coming into force from tomorrow at Tirumala. As a plastic ban came into force in Tirupati from 2 October, the Tirupati-Tirumala Devasthanams has decided to enforce the ban in Tirumala also from tomorrow.
According to reports, there will be heavy fine for people violating the ban – ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 25,000.
For shops that flout the rule, their licence will be revoked, warns the Devasthanam that runs the famous Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala.
