Chennai: Tamilnadu Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd (Aavin) has launched 22 new products including Cold Coffee at an event at its Integrated Dairy Development Department Complex (Aavin Illam), Nandanam, Tuesday, in the presence of Dairy Development Minister Rajendra Balaji.

According to a press release, Aavin, under the leadership of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, is striving hard to bring second white revolution in the State. As of today, the federation is supplying 12.3 lakh litres of milk to consumers in Chennai alone on a daily basis while also selling over Rs 20 crore worth milk products in the city every month. It is also sorting out ways to bring in as many products as possible gauging the needs of the residents.

Dairy Development Minister Rajendra Balaji with Dairy Development Principal Secretary K Gopal, Aavin Managing Director C Kamaraj, Deputy Managing Director K Manivannan and officials at the launch of 22 Aavin products at Nandanam in Chennai on Tuesday.

The 22 new products included Pista, Badam, Mango, Grape, Strawberry, Pineapple, Blackcurrant, Litchi, Orange, Chocolate Kulfis, Mango, Strawberry, Pineapple, Grape, Orange, Sugarless Vanilla Yoghurts, Pineapple, Elachi, Chocolate, Pista, Strawberry Milkshakes and Cool Coffee. Apart from these, there are 24 milk products and 80 different ice creams already on sale.

Dairy Development Minister Rajendra Balaji on Tuesday also handed over bonus amount Rs 691.45 lakh to 5,036 employees both from the federation as well as from the unions as per the directions of the Chief Minister.

Dairy Development Principal Secretary K Gopal, Aavin Managing Director C Kamaraj, Deputy Managing Director K Manivannan and officials from the department participated.
