LIC Housing Finance mega fair kicks off in city

Chennai: LIC Housing Finance property fair ‘Ungal Illam 2018’ has kicked off here. The 21st edition of the property fair is set to take pace until tomorrow at the Trade Centre. The fair was inaugurated by MD and CEO, LIC HFL, Vinay Shah.

A release stated that the major attraction for customers at the fair is that they can get registered and avail the benefit of NIL processing fee provided the loan is sanctioned before 30 November.

On display during the event will be more than 100 projects ranging from affordable homes to luxury high end apartments. It is also expected that new projects will be launched by some builders during this mega show. Prospective customers can look forward to value deals and discounts from the participating builders.

The company under its loan scheme Griha Siddhi offers maximum tenure of 30 years for all its housing loan products. Rates of interest starts from 8.7 per cent. First time home borrowers can avail additional benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) up to Rs 2.67 lakh.

LIC HFL has been demonstrating strong growth in loan disbursements with a CAGR of 18 per cent. For the year the company recorded a disbursement of
Rs 49,378 crore, a growth of 19 per cent over the previous year.

Southern Region comprising the States of Tamilnadu and Kerala and Union Territory Puducherry have 49 marketing offices and five back offices. Chennai and its suburbs have 19 marketing offices. The Region holds around 21 per cent of the loan book of the company.
