Sale of application forms for VITEEE 2019 begins

VIT University founder-Chancellor G Viswanathan launching the sale of applications at Vellore head post office Friday. VIT University vice-president G V Selvam, Pro-Vice Chancellor S Narayanan are present.

Vellore: The sale of applications for VIT Engineering Entrance Examinations – VITEEE-2019 – for the next academic year for the Vellore, Chennai, Amaravathi (Andhra Pradesh) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) campuses began Friday.

The first sale of the application form was formally launched by VIT University founder-Chancellor G Viswanathan at the Vellore head post office.

At the Vellore campus of VIT University, 17 courses are offered. They include B Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Chemical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics Communication with Bio Medical Engineering CSE with specialisation in Informatics, Mechanical with specialisation in Automotive Engineering, Production and Industrial Engineering, Electronics and Communication, with specialisation in IT and sensor.

At the Chennai campus, the courses offered include Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Computer Engineering and Fashion Technology.

At the Amaravathi campus (Andhra Pradesh), the courses offered are B Tech in CSE, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Computer Science with Networking and Security, Computer Science with specialisation in Data Analytics, Electronics and Communication with Embedded Systems, Electronics and Communication with VLSI, CSE with Artificial Intelligence.

At the Bhopal campus, courses offered include B Tech in Bio Engineering, CSE, CSE (specialisation in Digital Forensics and Cyber Security) in Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Computer Science with Gaming Technology, Aero Space, CSE AI and machine learning and VITEEE will have examinations to those courses.

The online entrance examinations will be held between 10 and 21 April at 175 centres in 124 important towns and cities in the country and also in Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar and Muscat.

The application forms can be collected from 22 head post offices all over India by paying Rs 1,200 as cost for the application form or with a demand draft drawn in favour of VIT for Rs 1,200. Those who wish to apply online can visit www.vit.ac.in (online application cost Rs 1,150) and also for further details. Last date for applying is 28 February 2019.

VIT University vice-president G V Selvam, Pro-Vice Chancellor S Narayanan, UG admissions director K Manivannan, superintendent of post offices, Vellore division, N Govindaraj, senior post master, P Komal Kumar, assistant superintendent, N Raja Gopalam, and postal public relation inspector, S Selva Kumar, were present during the inaugural sale of applications.
