Popular comedian Yogi Babu took to playing the lead role in ‘Ghurka.‘ Even before the movie hit the screens, he has agreed to play a prominent role in a movie titled ‘Dharmaprabhu.’
A fantasy comic caper set in fictional Yamalokam, the cast also includes Karunakaran. Yogi dons the role of Yama Dharmaraja and Karunakaran playing Chitragupta.
Muthukumaran, whose debut directorial Kanni Rasi featuring Vemal and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is yet to hit the marquee, has been roped in to wield the megaphone. The film will be shot extensively in grand sets with art director CS Balachandran working on exclusive designs along with his team.
Mahesh Muthuswamy is handling cinematography with Justin Prabhakaran composing the music. Produced by P Ranganathan, the movie is shot in Chennai and songs are being planned in locations abroad. Composer Anirudh revealed the first look of the film on Friday.
