The SBI Colony Road at Virugambakkam has become a space to dump debris, garbage and non maintenance of plants.
“Situated at the junction of two roads, the stretch is used by children to play during evenings. But, at the same time, mosquitoes haunt them,” said Vijayalakshmi, a resident.
The corner of the road is dumped with waste and has turned out to be a haven for mosquitoes. Another resident said, “Due to the mosquito bites, we have stopped walking inside the park nearby. For past three months, the Corporation officials did not even make an attempt to clear the debris.”
