Twentytwo film stars from the 1980s met – as they do every year – in Chennai. The theme for this year was denim and diamonds.
Poonam Dhillon from Mumbai presented all the 22 stars present and also the eight other stars held up due to shooting, with personalised mobile phone covers with their individual photos and names.
Entertainment was impromptu performance by Naresh, Satyaraj and Jayaram paying a tribute to Sivaji Ganesan , MGR and Kamal Haasan respectively. Jayaram stole the show with his Kamal tribute especially enacting the slow motion action sequence of Kamal Haasan from Viswaroopam.
Women performed for the Telugu song Inkem Inkem from Geetha Govindam. Mohanlal conducted a Kerala Onam boat race.
