Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Seethakathi saw its trailer released today. With emotional and heart-wrenching scenes, it went viral on social media immediately.
Directed by Balaji Tharneetharan of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom-fame, the movie has music by Govind Vasantha of 96 fame, and Saraskanth behind the camera.
Parvathy, Archana, Gayathrie, and veteran director Mahendran are also playing important roles in Seethakathi.
Vijay Sethupathi plays an aged drama artiste and, for the first time, he even opted for prosthetic make-up to justify the old man look. The trailer has veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja playing a cameo.
The trailer has aroused curiosity as it speaks about an old Ayya (Vijay Sethupathi), who enjoys a huge fan following but doesn’t turn up for shootings. Producers are forced complain about him to the Producers Council and drag him to court.
The movie will be distributed by Trident Arts Raveendran. It will hit screens 20 December.
