Chennai: Justice Vineet Kothari, who was transferred from Karnataka High Court to Madras High Court, assumed office today. He was administered oath by Chief Justice Vijaya Tahilramani.
Justice Kothari was initially proposed to be transferred to Allahabad High Court, through a resolution dated 29 October 2018.
He had then requested to be transferred to the High Courts of Punjab and Haryana, Madras, or Delhi instead.
Acceding to his request, the collegium had then changed its recommendation, to propose his transfer to Madras High Court instead.
