Chennai: Nestlé India has introduced what it claims to be India’s first baked noodles – MAGGI Nutri-licious. The firm has stated that the launch is in continuation with its ongoing direction of “Kuch Acha Pakk Raha Hai”.
According to a release from the top FMCG firm, the proprietary ‘baked’ technology locks the taste of sweet corn as it bakes it into every strand of noodles.
The product also comes with two taste makers including a market-first second seasoning through a flavoured oil that enhances the overall taste.
Chairman and MD, Nestlé India, Suresh Narayanan, said, “I am very happy that we are introducing India’s first baked noodles. Product innovation and renovation continues to be the core of our business strategy. This year we have made some important interventions with brand Maggi. We are committed to enhance the nutrition profile of our products by adding ingredients to our products and using our proprietary technology. With every new addition to the Maggi portfolio our objective is to offer more choices to our consumers who are seeking options that resonate with their evolving tastes and preferences. We hope this will be liked as there is goodness of sweetcorn baked in every strand.”
The baked noodles are available across leading supermarkets and mom-and-pop stores in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi.
