Chennai: A popular star hotel in Guindy received an anonymous letter threatening that a bomb has been planted there and it would explode any moment. Thorough search was conducted by police. It eventually turned out to be a hoax call.
According to sources, the staff at the hotel alerted police after they received a letter stating that a bomb has been planted at their premises today. Bomb squads and sniffer dogs were pressed into service. A thorough search was conducted. However they found out that it was a hoax call.
Enquires are on to find out the person who sent the letter.
