Chennai: Thendral Flats, located at Balakrishna Road, Valmiki Nagar, Tiruvanmiyur, installed a CCTV facility on its premises recently.
A press release said the 32-IP camera system was inaugurated by ADGP Abhash Kumar.
Inspector of police, Tiruvanmiyur, Christin Jayasil, president of the association, retired CGM, Chennai Telephones, A Subramanian, and secretary Rajendran, and other committee members of Thendral Flats Owners Association (TFOA), were present during the ceremony.
Commissioner of Police A K Viswanathan has been stressing the need to set up CCTV cameras in flats and houses to prevent crime and thefts in a locality.
