Chennai: Union Minister of State for Finance, Pon Radhakrishnan, has said he is confident that the BJP will win 30 seats in Tamilnadu in the 2019 general elections.
He said this while speaking to mediapersons yesterday after launching road works in Kaanimadam Kanakapuram, costing Rs 96.57 lakh, near Anjugramam of Kanyakumari district.
The Minister pointed out that ever since the AIADMK was formed, it has been contesting elections in alliance with other parties. He reminded that same was the case with the principal Opposition party, the DMK.
Given the political dynamics of Tamilnadu, it would not be possible for a single party to form the government, asserted Radhakrishnan, and added that all parties would have to work on alliances to face the general elections.

Today in Chennai, petrol costs Rs 76.88 per litre and diesel, Rs 72.77 per litre after climbing to almost Rs 90 last month.
