Pon Radhakrishnan

Coimbatore: Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan today said the way in which a section of farmers from Tamilnadu were protesting in New Delhi has brought shame to the people of the State.

Speaking to mediapersons at the airport here this morning, he said, every Tamilian should condemn such acts.  “These protests are being funded by a few parties from Tamilnadu,” he added.

Seeman

He also hit out at Naam Tamilar Katchi chief Seeman for his speech degrading Hindu Gods. “Seeman can talk about politics and society. If he does not believe in spiritualism, then he should not talk about it. Someone who speaks like him cannot be considered a just person,” he said.

He further said he spoke to Union Minister of State for Home about the relief funds needed for Gaja cyclone-hit areas. He reiterated that he was against the construction of a reservoir across the Cauvery at Mekedatu.
