Commonly hailed as a wonder plant and exalted for its soothing properties, aloe vera has been a part and parcel of our lives since time immemorial. The trait of not needing much care gives additional brownie points, given the ever-busy life we lead. However, going beyond its use as a moisturiser, the gel of the plant possesses a wide range of use.

Apply and massage the combination on your scalp and hair till it is saturated with the paste and leave it for seeping through for about 30 minutes. Wash with mild shampoo and conditioner. Do it once a week for better results.

KEEP DANDRUFF AT BAY

Apply it thoroughly and massage your hair, let it absorb for half-an-hour and wash your hair. The natural cure leaves no side-effects. So, wait not and grab ’em to make your personalised serum for the problem.

TONING THE RED DOWN

The rich vitamins and mineral nutritional contents in the gel soothes inflammation and acne. Regular application can make the inflamed skin fresh and moist. Blending the gel with rosewater, Vitamin C powder and Vitamin E oil can enhance the skin tone and instantly makes your skin glow in addition to hydrating it.

GET RID OFF FRECKLES

Still wondering about ways to make blemishes vanish? Worry not, aloe vera gel comes to your aid. As it contains anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, astringent and antiseptic properties, when used with lemon juice, can lighten the blotches and scars. Use regularly for better results.

GIVE YOUR ICE CUBES A CHANGE

Rubbing face with ice cubes is a ritual that every woman does before applying her make-up as it shrinks the pores and makes the skin to glow. For extra freshness, fill the tray with aloe vera gel and swap the water cubes with aloe vera-powered cubes. It can also be used as after-shave as it can soften and provide relief from the cuts.
