Chennai: City-based startup, Dumbell was awarded as one of the top three start-ups from south India by Start Smart Awards at an event held at Madras Management Association here recently.
Dumbell – a fitness and lifestyle apparel brand was selected from among thousands of startups from the south zone based on various criteria.
Founder of Naturals salon, CK Kumaravel presented the award to founder and chairman of Dumbell, Abishek Rengasamy. Dumbell is across 6 outlets in Chennai.
The Start Smart Awards, 2018 is an initiative by National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog and Government of India. The aim is to recognize the top three start-ups each from four zones of India, north, south, west and east. The award ceremonies for the four zones was held in Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi.
