Chennai: A two-wheeler motorist was attacked and robbed at Teynampet yesterday.
According to the police, Gajendran (48), a resident of S M Nagar, Teynampet, was riding on his two-wheeler at Thomas Road when two persons, Kullu Pradeep (23) of S M Nagar and Raja (27) of Kannagi Nagar stopped his vehicle.
They assaulted Gajendran and took his mobile phone and Rs 500 from him and fled the spot. Subsequently, he lodged a complaint with the police, following which the police arrested the men. However, the stolen items are yet to be recovered.
