Velu Prabhakaran talks about playing God in ‘Kadavul-2’

Having completed almost 90 per cent of the sequel of his popular anti-theist 1997-flick Kadavul, filmmaker Velu Prabhakaran is all excited and says, in this part, God again would descend on earth to change society.

Though Velu himself plays the role of God, the film also has RR Tami Selvan and Swathy as the lead pair with Imman Annachi and Seetha essaying crucial roles.

Prabhakaran has also roped in ace Sathyaraj and Seeman for powerful cameo roles. And the director’s regular maestro Ilayaraja scores the music.

Speaking to reporters, Prabhakaran said, “Earlier, it is believed Gods came to earth manifesting themselves as Rama, Krishna, Jesus and Prophet Mohammed. In my film, God takes the avatar of a filmmaker to mingle with society. And I portray that role where I will be seen as God in the flick. He does only what is needed in today’s scenario. How he tries to bring about a change in people after analysing them forms the crux.”
