Chennai: Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) in association with Chennai Runners will be conducting the latter’s Sketchers Performance Chennai Marathon 2019 tomorrow.
A press note said the starting point of the marathon event is 400 meters away from Nandhanam Metro station towards Saidapet. The race comprises of four categories: Full Marathon (42.195 km) starting at 4 am, Perfect Miler (32.186 km) starting at 4 am, Half Marathon (21.097 km) – starting at 4.30 am and 10K Run (10 km) starting at 6.15 am.
In wake of the event, CMRL will be starting its train services from 4 am at 15 minutes headway on both corridors from Chennai Central to St Thomas Mount and Chennai Airport to AG-DMS for the benefit of the marathon participants who can also avail free parking at all Chennai Metro stations on the race day by showing the BIB number provided for participation. They can collect BIB number from Hall No. 1, Chennai Trade Centre, Mount Poonamallee High Road, Nandambakkam, today till 5 pm. CMRL will also setup a kiosk at Chennai Trade Centre for the benefit of the Marathon participants for buying preloaded travel cards.
