Chennai: Minister for Rural Industries P Benjamin today said necessary action will be taken to safeguard fireworks industries.
He was responding to a question raised by Leader of Opposition, M K Stalin in the Assembly seeking a resolution to be passed to protect cracker industries, like how it was done for Jallikattu.
It may be noted that Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Friday said the government had taken efforts to protect cracker industries, following Supreme Court’s restrictions on fire crackers.
