Chennai: The Madras High Court today banned the online release of upcoming flicks Petta and Viswasam.
The movies starring Rajinikanth and Ajith, respectively, are set to be released on 10 January during the Pongal holidays.
The trailer of the movies which were released recently had raised the hype for both the movies. Bookings for the movies have also begun and tickets for first few days are already sold out.
Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, has an ensemble of cast that includes Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran, Sasikumar and Bobby Simha. Music is by Anirudh.
Helmed by Siva, Viswasam has Nayanthara as the female lead with Thambi Ramaiah and Yogi Babu playing key roles. Music is by D Imman.
