Chennai: The Madras High Court today issued a notice to Tamil Film Producers Council president and actor Vishal in a case filed by actor Silamabrasan aka STR.
A defamation case was filed by Simbu against Vishal and ‘Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan producer Michael Rayappan.
Vishal and Rayappan have been asked to respond to Simbu’s petition. In his plea, Silamabarasan said that Rayappan was unnecessarily making statements aimed at tarnishing his image.
“Rayappan is yet to pay a huge sum of my salary. During the problems post the release of AAA, Vishal involved in Kangaroo Court and acted in favour of Rayappan,” he said. Silamabarasan has also sought of compensation of Rs 1 crore.
