Director Sundar C returns to his signature blend of family humor and divine fantasy with ‘Mookuthi Amman 2’, mounting a large-scale commercial sequel fronted by Nayanthara, Regina Cassandra, and Urvashi.

The storyline follows an upright police officer (Nayanthara) plagued by ominous nightmares that summon her to the town of Mayilanji.

Transferring there alongside her mother (Urvashi), she encounters an antagonistic presence in Regina Cassandra, who schemes for vengeance and sacrificial rituals, setting the stage for the powerful awakening of Mookuthi Amman to vanquish demonic forces.

Nayanthara commands the screen in a striking dual shade, particularly during high-octane sequences wielding the sacred trident against dark elements.

Regina delivers an intensely fierce performance with imposing body language, while Urvashi and Yogi Babu anchor the comic relief alongside Iniya, Duniya Vijay, Singam Puli, and Sunil. Bolstered by Gopi Amarnath’s visual framing and Hiphop Tamizha’s energetic background score, the film delivers a breezy festival package.
