Chennai: C Ashok Kumar’s stellar showing with both the ball and bat enabled Bharath Petroleum Corporation Club to beat Minerva Cricket Club by 64 runs in the fourth division ‘C’ of the TNCA League.
Chasing 241 for a win, Minerva CC was bowled out for 176 with only S Balaji making a meaningful contribution of 52, thanks to Ashok Kumar’s five-wicket haul. Earlier Ashok Kumar contributed with the bat as well scoring 43 to help his team post 240.
