Coimbatore: A three-year-old boy and two others were killed, and one other seriously injured in a car mishap in Tirupur on Thursday.
According to police, the car in which the family was travelling in rammed into a roadside tree causing the deaths. After attending a Pongal function at Udumalapet, the family (Muthusamy, his wife, grandson and father) was returning to Dharapuram.
Muthusamy lost control over his vehicle and suffered serious injuries. He has been admitted to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, while the other three died on the spot, police added.
