The wait has finally ended for Kamal Haasan fans. His much-expected Indian 2 went on floors today near Chennai. A huge set has been erected where few important scenes were being shot. Director Shankar came up with some first look posters of the film that have gone viral on social networking sites.
Kamal Haasan is playing an old man Senapathy, who fights corruption in the society. Produced by Lyca, Indian 2 features Kajal Agarwal as heroine. The first look posters confirmed that music will be scored by Anirudh. Remember the first part has A R Rahman as music director.
Indian was on the big blockbusters in Tamil cinema. It was even dubbed and released in Hindi. The movie spoke against the corruption in the system and need to stand against it. Kamal Haasan eventually went on to win the National award for best actor for his performance.
Meanwhile, there were rumours that actor Simbu was signed to play a meaty role in Indian 2. But sources say that the makers have settled for Siddharth. It is learnt that Siddharth has officially signed the project and will join the sets of the movie next week.
