Chennai: Mohnish Arya defeated Parthiba Rajendran in a closely fought contest, 3-2 to clinch the snooker championship in the All IndiaAnglo American Cue Sports Association Ranking Tournament, held recently.
Mohnish pipped Parthiba by three frames to two to clinch the title. Earlier in the day, Mohnish had also caused a major upset by defeating the reigning Karnataka state snooker champion and AACSA champion Daksh Reddy 3-0.
Finalist J Varun Kumar too entered the final after causing an upset by defeating reigning Tamil Nadu state snooker champion J. Varun Kumar by Three frames to One in the other semifinal.
